HaloPure water purification solutions use very special beads that are composed of patented N-halamine technology to purify the water to U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards. When HaloPure beads are installed in water filtration cartridges, the result is a breakthrough in antimicrobial purification.
HaloPure beads are highly porous and have the ability to present a very large surface area of chlorinated or brominated contact biocides to water passing through the bed of tiny beads. About 5 ounces—150 grams—of HaloPure beads have the surface area of a regulation football field. When germs come in contact with the biocide resident on the beads, they are quickly killed and inactivated.
